Medical Coding involves converting patient healthcare information, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, and medical services into standardized alphanumeric codes used for medical billing and insurance claims processing. Key Responsibilities
Review patient medical records, reports, and clinical documentation.
Convert diagnoses, treatments, procedures, and services into standardized medical codes.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and healthcare regulations.
Interpret medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical documentation.
Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and coding teams to resolve documentation queries.
Meet productivity and quality standards set by the organization.
