Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Fiber Optic Network Engineer to design, plan, and supervise the installation of fiber optic and copper network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in fiber optic splicing, cable testing, jointing techniques, and the construction of overhead and underground fiber optic networks.
Key Responsibilities
Design and plan fiber optic and copper communication networks.
Supervise and oversee the installation of fiber optic cables.
Perform and manage single-mode and multimode fiber optic splicing using fusion and mechanical splicing techniques.
Conduct fiber optic cable testing and jointing activities.
Support the construction and deployment of overhead and underground fiber optic cable networks.
Conduct detailed site surveys to assess installation requirements and network feasibility.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for network projects.
Develop accurate project quotations based on site surveys and technical requirements.
Ensure network installations meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
B.Tech, B.E., or B.S. in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in fiber optic networking.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of fiber optic and copper network design.
Experience with single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables.
Expertise in fusion and mechanical splicing techniques.
Knowledge of fiber optic testing and cable jointing.
Experience with overhead and underground fiber optic cable construction.
Ability to conduct site surveys and prepare BOQs and quotations.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
