Job Summary

Hitachi Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end applications. The role involves building backend services and corresponding frontend interfaces, coordinating development across application layers, and leading a team to deliver business requirements and use cases.

The ideal candidate will have strong Java and Spring expertise, familiarity with modern frontend frameworks, database technologies, application servers, and software design patterns. Application support experience is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Translate application storyboards, business requirements, and use cases into functional applications.

Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable Java code.

Build and maintain backend services and frontend interfaces.

Lead and coordinate team members working across different application layers.

Manage the team to develop and deliver business use cases.

Ensure application performance, quality, scalability, and responsiveness.

Identify performance bottlenecks and software defects, and implement appropriate solutions.

Maintain code quality, organization, reusability, and automation.

Design database schemas that support business processes.

Support application platforms and troubleshoot issues when required.

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Skills and Technical Expertise

Backend Development

Strong proficiency in Java and its ecosystem.

Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.

Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

Familiarity with MVC architecture, JDBC, and RESTful web services.

Knowledge of design and architectural patterns.

Ability to develop reusable Java libraries and maintain clean, readable code.

Frontend Development

Basic hands-on experience with HTML, JavaScript, and ECMAScript.

Familiarity with React.js and/or Angular.

Knowledge of frontend and backend integration.

Application and Web Servers

Experience with application or web servers such as:

Nginx

Apache Tomcat

JBoss

WebLogic

WebSphere

Database Technologies

Basic understanding of SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

Familiarity with database schema design.

Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is an advantage.

Development Tools and Version Control

Proficiency with Git or similar code versioning tools.

Understanding of software development best practices.

Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle.

Knowledge of automated testing, unit testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.

Cloud and Additional Technologies

Good knowledge of the AWS ecosystem is desirable.

Exposure to Node.js is relevant to the listed technology stack.

Familiarity with React.js, Angular, and MEAN/MERN stack concepts is an advantage.

Understanding of Java class loading, JVM fundamentals, limitations, and workarounds is desirable.

Good-to-Have Skills

Application support and troubleshooting experience.

Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.

Understanding of scalable application design principles.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and performance.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and team leadership skills.

Qualifications

Graduate Engineer or MBA.

6–8 years of relevant experience.

Strong technical problem-solving skills.

Ability to lead a team and coordinate end-to-end application development.
