Core technical skills

Java web development
JSP
Traditional/legacy Java frameworks
Git, branching, pull requests and code reviews
Eclipse IDE or similar
Third-party dependency management/upgrades
Spring Framework
commons-fileupload

Security responsibilities

Analyze vulnerabilities such as XSS and outdated libraries
Define technical remediation strategies
Ensure secure coding standards
Review/approve fixes and upgrades
Safely upgrade vulnerable/outdated dependencies

Leadership & collaboration

Lead application onboarding, documentation and local environment setup
Troubleshoot complex developer/code-level issues
Mentor developers
Coordinate with QA, DevOps and application owners
Communicate progress, blockers and technical decisions

Key differentiator: Despite the title Java Front-End Developer, this is strongly oriented toward Application Security remediation and legacy Java modernization, rather than a conventional UI-development position.
