EEB Engineering Design & Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. — Senior Production Engineer
Location: Chennai
Experience: 4–7 years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Mechanical Engineering or related
Employment: Full-time, Permanent, On-site
Working Days: Monday–Friday
Shift: Day shift
Languages: English & Tamil mandatory; Hindi optional
Joining: Immediate joiners preferred
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise shop-floor production operations.
Plan, schedule, and prioritize production activities.
Manage sheet metal fabrication, TIG/MIG welding, assembly, and finishing.
Optimize manpower, materials, and equipment utilization.
Implement 5S, EHS, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
Develop and monitor SOPs and work instructions.
Coordinate with Quality for in-process and final inspections.
Track KPIs such as output, downtime, rejection, and efficiency.
Support prototype/new-product integration with the R&D team.
Train and mentor production staff on welding, safety, and best practices.
Lead productivity improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Maintain production documentation and traceability.
Coordinate with procurement/planning teams for uninterrupted material flow.
Required Skills
4–7 years production/manufacturing experience.
Minimum 2+ years in sheet metal fabrication and welding.
Hands-on TIG & MIG welding, particularly stainless-steel assemblies.
AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools.
Strong knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, EHS, and Lean Manufacturing.
Production team leadership and resource optimization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
