Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive System & Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure the school’s IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, servers, network connectivity, hardware, and software to support academic and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.

Monitor network performance, availability, and security.

Manage user accounts, access permissions, and group policies.

Perform regular system backups and assist with disaster recovery planning.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network connectivity issues.

Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and system updates.

Provide technical support to teachers and administrative staff for software installation, connectivity, and other IT-related issues.

Maintain accurate inventories of hardware and software assets.

Ensure compliance with data protection policies and security guidelines.

Assist with IT infrastructure upgrades and expansion as the school grows.

Provide basic technical training and guidance to school staff when required.

Required Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or in a similar IT support role; 1 year of total work experience is preferred.

Required Technical Skills

Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

Understanding of networking protocols and network troubleshooting.

Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365.

Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

Knowledge of cloud services and virtualization technologies, including VMware, Microsoft Azure, and Google Workspace.

Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently.

Ability to support teachers, administrative staff, and other users.
