Job Description: SAP SD Support Consultant
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Support Consultant to provide incident management and application support for SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and related integrated business processes. The role involves working closely with business users, SAP functional teams, and technical teams to ensure seamless operation of SAP applications, timely incident resolution, and successful delivery of change requests.

The ideal candidate will possess strong SAP SD functional expertise, integration knowledge across multiple SAP modules, and experience in support and enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities
Incident & Problem Management
Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for SAP SD application incidents and issues.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement effective solutions to prevent recurring issues.
Support L2 incident management activities and provide functional expertise for complex tickets escalated from L1 support teams.
Analyze and resolve SAP application issues within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Coordinate with technical teams to provide functional guidance for issue resolution.
SAP Functional Support
Provide end-user support for SAP SD and integrated SAP applications.
Ensure smooth operation of SAP SD business processes and surrounding applications.
Support both primary and secondary environments, including integrated non-SAP platforms where applicable.
Handle service requests and user queries efficiently.
Integration Support
Support and troubleshoot integration scenarios involving:
SAP SD and SAP FI
SAP SD and SAP MM
SAP SD and SAP PP
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve end-to-end business process issues.
Change Request Management
Prepare test plans for change requests (CRs) requiring more than three days of effort.
Manage end-to-end delivery of medium and complex change requests (RICEF objects).
Develop functional specifications and coordinate development activities.
Conduct testing, validation, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Ensure successful implementation of approved business enhancements.
Service Management & Reporting
Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests through ticketing tools.
Monitor ticket progress and ensure timely closure.
Publish operational reports, MIS dashboards, and KPI metrics for stakeholders.
Maintain compliance with support processes and governance standards.
Knowledge Management & Documentation
Create and maintain:
Functional documentation
System documentation
User manuals
Training materials
Support SAP roles and authorization management activities.
Contribute to knowledge repositories and process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Educational Qualification
BE / B.Tech
MBA
Any Computer Science or Information Technology Graduate
Certifications (Preferred)
SAP SD Certification
ITIL Foundation (ITIL-F)

Functional Skills
Strong expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SAP SD).
Experience in SAP application support and incident management.
Knowledge of SAP integration scenarios involving:
SD–FI
SD–MM
SD–PP
Experience in change management and enhancement projects.

Functional specification development.
Test planning and execution.
Incident and problem management.

SAP roles and authorization knowledge.

Preferred Experience
Experience supporting global SAP environments.
Exposure to RICEF development lifecycle.
