Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Principal Technologist to lead the design, governance, and support of global SAP ECC environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Security, SAP Basis, SAP GRC, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) compliance while working closely with global support teams across multiple time zones.

This role requires a strategic technology leader who can drive SAP security initiatives, design robust authorization frameworks, and ensure compliance with organizational security standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and support of global SAP ECC systems.
Collaborate with SAP Basis, Application Management, Security, and other SAP support teams.
Design and develop SAP Authorization Roles and Authorization Objects aligned with Segregation of Duties (SoD) requirements.
Administer and support SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (SAP GRC) solutions.
Ensure SAP security architecture aligns with business, compliance, and audit requirements.
Review, analyze, and optimize authorization concepts across SAP environments.
Support SAP Basis Security activities and system access governance.
Work closely with global stakeholders to implement security enhancements and process improvements.
Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and risk mitigation activities.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to SAP security and access management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of overall Information Technology experience.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in:
SAP Security
SAP Basis Support
SAP Application Management
SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
At least 3 years of experience administering or implementing SAP GRC solutions.
Strong expertise in:
SAP Authorization Roles
Authorization Objects
Transaction Security
Segregation of Duties (SoD)
Experience supporting enterprise-scale SAP ECC environments.
Working knowledge of Java Platform technologies.
