Job Summary

The Production Planning & Control (PPC) Engineer/Executive is responsible for planning, scheduling, forecasting, inventory management, production coordination, and ensuring on-time delivery of customer requirements. The role involves coordinating with production, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to optimize manufacturing operations and maintain efficient supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning
Prepare production plans based on customer demand and forecasts.
Develop weekly and monthly production schedules.
Create and maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS).
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet delivery commitments.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
Analyze customer demand and demand fluctuations.
Forecast production requirements based on market trends.
Ensure demand fulfillment with the required quality and quantity.
Achieve customer delivery commitments on time.
Capacity Planning
Plan production based on machine capacity and manpower availability.
Arrange production line manpower and working schedules.
Prepare repair capacity forecasts.
Balance production load across manufacturing lines.
Inventory Management
Maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) inventory within target levels.
Maintain Finished Goods (FG) inventory as per company targets.
Monitor material flow and identify shortages.
Resolve inventory-related issues and bottlenecks.
Material Planning
Monitor material availability for production.
Coordinate with procurement for timely material supply.
Identify material shortages and production constraints.
Support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Production Coordination
Respond quickly to production issues.
Analyze production delays and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with manufacturing teams to minimize downtime.
Ensure smooth execution of production plans.
Sales & Logistics Coordination
Create Sales Orders (SO).
Prepare Delivery Notes (DN).
Generate export invoices.
Coordinate export shipment documentation.
Release Purchase Orders (PO) for import shipments.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain MPS Summary.
Prepare and maintain CTB (Clear-to-Build) reports.
Generate production planning reports.
Track production KPIs and delivery performance.
Special Activities
Handle End of Life (E&O) inventory activities.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
Participate in process improvements related to planning and scheduling.

Experience in Production Planning & Control is preferred.
Knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing processes is an advantage.
