Job Summary

Data Patterns is seeking an experienced Associate Manager – Projects to lead and manage complex electronic system development projects. The role involves system design, project planning, technical coordination, team leadership, testing, installation, commissioning, and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in electronics systems along with proven project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
System Design & Engineering
Participate in system design activities in collaboration with team members and senior engineers.
Develop System Requirement Specifications (SYRS) and Preliminary Design Documents (PDD).
Ensure designs meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Support technical reviews and design validation processes.
Documentation & Design Reviews
Prepare and maintain project-related technical documentation.
Coordinate internal design reviews and customer approval processes.
Obtain approvals for SYRS, PDD, and other engineering deliverables.
Work closely with the Technical Writing team to complete project documentation.
Project Planning & Resource Management
Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans and resource allocation strategies.
Derive monthly and weekly execution plans from the overall project schedule.
Monitor project progress against milestones and targets.
Ensure optimal utilization of resources for successful project delivery.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Assign tasks and monitor execution by junior engineers and team members.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project teams.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments including:
Mechanical Design
PCB/Board Design
RF Design
FPGA Development
Software Engineering
Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Procurement & Vendor Management
Initiate procurement activities based on approved designs and project requirements.
Coordinate with procurement teams and vendors.
Conduct vendor visits and technical discussions as required.
Ensure timely availability of project materials and components.
System Integration & Testing
Develop Electrical Interface Diagrams (EID) and testing jigs.
Coordinate system wiring and mechanical assembly activities with production teams.
Plan and execute system testing activities in collaboration with project teams and senior management.
Ensure compliance with quality and performance requirements.
Installation & Commissioning
Support project delivery activities.
Lead site installation, system integration, commissioning, and customer handover activities.
Resolve technical issues during deployment and commissioning phases.
Ensure successful project closure and customer acceptance.
Configuration & Baseline Management
Maintain project design baselines and configuration management processes.
Ensure all system-related documents and designs are properly version-controlled.
Coordinate baseline reviews with relevant departments.
