Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced Senior PHP Developers with strong expertise in object-oriented programming and full-stack web application development. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable PHP-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Application Development
Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using PHP
Write clean, reusable, and object-oriented code following best practices
Develop scalable backend systems and integrate frontend components
2. Backend & API Development
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services
Work with SOAP-based services where required
Ensure proper integration between systems and third-party services
3. Database Design & Optimization
Design normalized and well-indexed MySQL databases
Optimize SQL queries using tools like EXPLAIN
Handle relationships such as One-to-Many and Many-to-Many effectively
4. Frontend Integration
Work with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON
Integrate UI components with backend logic
5. Code Quality & Testing
Perform self-testing and ensure bug-free deliveries
Write and maintain unit tests using PHPUnit
Follow coding standards and perform code refactoring
6. System Design & Security
Identify and fix common PHP security vulnerabilities
Implement secure coding practices
Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability
7. Deployment & Maintenance
Troubleshoot production issues and perform debugging
Work with Linux/Unix environments and Windows systems
Manage Apache, PHP-FPM, and caching configurations
8. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with team members and stakeholders
Communicate effectively and contribute to team success
Participate in design discussions and code reviews
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience in PHP 7.x and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Expertise in MySQL database design and optimization
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON
Hands-on experience with Bootstrap (3+)
Experience with PHP frameworks (Symfony preferred or similar)
Strong understanding of security practices in PHP applications
Experience with Git version control
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills:
Linux/Unix system knowledge
Apache & PHP-FPM configuration
Experience with caching mechanisms
Bash scripting
WordPress and Moodle experience
SOLR and Zookeeper exposure
VueJS / React / Angular experience
AWS API experience
Jenkins, Composer, NetBeans IDE usage
Knowledge of LMS standards (SCORM, LTI, xAPI)
Experience in automated testing (PHPUnit)
