MBBS with MEM or MD in Emergency Medicine

Job Summary

A well-established multi-speciality hospital in Namakkal is looking for a Consultant Emergency Physician to provide high-quality emergency medical care in the Emergency Department (ER). The ideal candidate should be experienced in managing medical and trauma emergencies, capable of making quick clinical decisions, and committed to delivering quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with medical and surgical emergencies.
Provide immediate stabilization and life-saving interventions for critically ill and injured patients.
Manage trauma cases and emergency situations in a tertiary care setting.
Perform emergency procedures such as:
Endotracheal intubation
Central venous catheterization
Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma (FAST)
Coordinate patient care with specialists, surgeons, ICU teams, and nursing staff.
Monitor patient progress and ensure appropriate referrals or admissions.
Respond to emergency on-call situations as required.
Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and patient safety standards.
Participate in clinical audits, emergency drills, and continuous medical education programs.
Required Skills
Expertise in managing all types of medical and trauma emergencies.
Strong clinical decision-making and critical care skills.
Proficiency in airway management and advanced life support procedures.
Experience in intubation, central venous catheterization, and FAST ultrasound.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in emergency situations.
Work Schedule
Duty Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Additional: Emergency on-call support
