About the Role
BG Naidu Sweets is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Area Operations Manager to oversee multiple retail outlets within the assigned region. The role focuses on driving sales growth, operational excellence, team management, customer satisfaction, compliance, and profitability across all branches.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, retail operations experience, and the ability to manage multiple locations while ensuring adherence to company standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Management
Monitor and drive sales performance across multiple retail outlets.
Conduct daily sales reviews and ensure achievement of revenue targets.
Promote upselling, cross-selling, and branch-level promotional activities.
Analyze sales trends and implement corrective actions where required.
Support branch teams in achieving monthly and annual sales goals.
Branch Operations Management
Oversee daily operations of all assigned branches.
Ensure operational consistency and excellence across outlets.
Monitor implementation of company policies and operational procedures.
Conduct regular branch visits and performance reviews.
Team Leadership & Workforce Management
Plan and monitor staff duty rosters.
Ensure proper manpower allocation across all branches.
Lead daily sales review meetings with Branch Managers.
Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with Branch Managers.
Coach and mentor branch teams for performance improvement.
Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service excellence.
SOP & Compliance Management
Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor hygiene, grooming, and operational standards.
Implement new SOPs and company directives across branches.
Ensure compliance with licenses, statutory regulations, and internal policies.
Audit & Financial Control
Conduct branch audits and inspections.
Perform cash verification and stock reconciliation.
Monitor petty cash utilization and financial discipline.
Verify stock closing reports and inventory records.
Ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
Inventory & Quality Control
Monitor stock levels and inventory movement.
Ensure proper implementation of FIFO (First-In-First-Out) practices.
Control product wastage and manage product returns.
Monitor non-availability items and near-expiry products.
Implement effective product quality control measures.
Customer Relationship Management
Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels.
Analyze customer footfall and buying patterns.
Resolve escalated customer concerns.
Recommend improvements to enhance customer experience.
Corporate Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop corporate sales opportunities.
Build and maintain long-term B2B customer relationships.
Support business expansion and revenue generation initiatives.
Marketing & Brand Promotion
Coordinate branch-level marketing activities.
Support campaigns to increase customer walk-ins.
Enhance local brand visibility and customer engagement.
Coordination & Communication
Act as the key communication bridge between Head Office and Branches.
Participate in daily conference calls with Branch Managers.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and support teams.
Ensure timely implementation of organizational goals and initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience
Experience in retail operations, branch management, hospitality, food retail, FMCG, or related sectors preferred.
Multi-branch management experience is highly desirable.
