Position Overview
EXA AG is seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP / RAP / BTP Consultant to join its product development and consulting team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing modern SAP solutions using SAP’s latest technologies, including SAP BTP, RAP, CDS Views, and ABAP on HANA.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a passion for developing scalable, high-quality SAP applications that support digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Development
Design, develop, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP on HANA and Object-Oriented ABAP.
Build and enhance SAP solutions utilizing the SAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
Develop reusable and scalable application components following SAP best practices.
SAP BTP & Modern Development
Design and develop applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Leverage SAP cloud technologies to build modern enterprise solutions.
Participate in cloud-native application development and integration initiatives.
Data Modeling & Services
Create and optimize CDS (Core Data Services) Views.
Develop AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) for high-performance database processing.
Build and expose OData services for SAP Fiori and external application integrations.
Technical Design & Innovation
Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
Participate in technical architecture discussions and solution design activities.
Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to development standards.
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with functional consultants, product teams, and business stakeholders.
Support product development, enhancements, and customer-specific implementations.
Contribute to innovation initiatives and adoption of emerging SAP technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
SAP Technical Expertise
Strong experience in:
ABAP on HANA
Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP)
SAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model)
SAP BTP & Cloud Technologies
Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Understanding of SAP cloud application development concepts.
Data & Integration Technologies
Expertise in:
CDS Views
AMDP
OData Services
Additional Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and development concepts.
Ability to work in agile and collaborative development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
Exposure to SAP product development environments.
Knowledge of cloud integrations and SAP extension frameworks.
Experience working on manufacturing or finance domain solutions.
