Job Summary

VIWELL is seeking an experienced Data & Machine Learning Engineer to build next-generation personalization and intelligent recommendation systems for its wellness-focused digital platform.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in data engineering, applied machine learning, AI safety practices, experimentation frameworks, and scalable ML systems. This role requires close collaboration with Product, Backend Engineering, Analytics, and AI Leadership teams to develop privacy-preserving, high-performance, and scalable personalization solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Define event schemas and data contracts in collaboration with Product and Analytics teams
Engineer and maintain scalable data features in Databricks
Implement robust data quality checks, orchestration, and lineage documentation
Design eligibility rules and ranking logic for safe personalization and recommendation systems
Build AI safety guardrails including:
Blocklists
Allowlists
Rewrite validators
Pseudonymization frameworks
Design A/B experiments and exposure logging frameworks
Perform statistical analysis and power analysis for experimentation
Integrate ML systems with backend APIs while maintaining response times below 300ms
Improve feature pipelines, ranking performance, and data freshness
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for successful execution
Stay updated on AI safety, privacy, and ML engineering best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Computer Science
Engineering
Data Science
Machine Learning
Related technical fields
5–7 years of experience in:
Data Engineering
Machine Learning Engineering
Applied ML roles
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with:
Python
SQL
Databricks
MLflow
Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
