Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures using Hadoop, PySpark, ETL processes, and cloud technologies. The candidate will be responsible for processing large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality, and supporting business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing large datasets.
Build and optimize ETL workflows to transform and integrate data from multiple sources.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Hadoop and PySpark applications for distributed data processing.
Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards across data systems.
Implement and manage cloud-based data solutions using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Collaborate with data scientists and data analysts to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize query execution in big data environments.
Apply data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques to support business requirements.
Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in big data and cloud technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
Hands-on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, Hive, and Spark.
Expertise in PySpark for distributed data processing.
Proficiency in ETL tools and workflows, such as SSIS, Apache NiFi, or custom-built pipelines.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data services.
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
