Job Summary – Piping Engineer (Plant Layout & Piping)

Experience Required: 2–5 Years
Primary Objective
Provide technical support for plant arrangement and piping layout by developing 3D plant models and engineering documentation using plant design software such as Autodesk Plant 3D.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare equipment arrangement and piping layouts for industrial plants.
Develop:
Plot plans
Plant layout drawings
Foundation location drawings
Steel structure guide drawings
Piping layout drawings
Isometric drawings
Bills of Materials (BOM)
Design structural steel supports for piping and equipment.
Coordinate with internal and global engineering teams.
Resolve technical design issues and engineering queries.
Perform detailed engineering for special piping components.
Manage design revisions and layout changes during project execution.
Participate in design reviews and maintain engineering documentation.
Support global technical development initiatives.
Perform Autodesk Plant 3D (P3D) project setup and administration (preferred).
Required Qualifications
Diploma, Engineering Technician qualification, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2–5 years of experience in:
Plant Engineering
Plant Layout
Industrial Piping Design
Process Industry projects
Required Technical Skills
Mechanical engineering fundamentals
Plant layout and piping engineering
3D plant modelling
Autodesk Plant 3D (preferred)
Piping isometrics and fabrication drawings
Equipment arrangement
