Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Snowflake-based applications and data solutions.
Work extensively with Snowflake utilities including:
SnowSQL
SnowPipe
CDC pipelines
Performance tuning and monitoring
Develop complex Stored Procedures and BTEQ queries.
Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using cloud-based implementations.
Handle data migration from traditional RDBMS systems to Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
Define and implement:
Warehouse sizing strategies
Database standards
Data ingestion frameworks
RBAC and security models
Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams for project execution and status reporting.
Create technical and functional specifications by analyzing business requirements.
Support automation and scripting activities using Python and Shell scripting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong experience in:
Snowflake Development & Architecture
Data Warehousing concepts
Data Modeling & Data Integration
Hands-on expertise with:
Snowflake utilities (SnowSQL, SnowPipe)
Performance tuning and monitoring
CDC implementation
Experience with cloud platforms:
AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform
Knowledge of AWS services:
AWS S3
AWS Kinesis
AWS DMS
Proficiency in:
Python
Java
Shell Scripting
Strong understanding of:
Warehouse sizing
Data structures
RBAC implementation
Preferred Qualifications
Snow Pro Core Certification (Preferred)
Experience in enterprise-scale Snowflake migration projects
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
