Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Architect with strong expertise in Java/J2EE, cloud technologies, backend application development, and system architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on programming experience and the ability to design, develop, and launch applications from scratch while influencing product architecture and technical frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop backend applications for managing cloud environments.

Take ownership of products and influence framework selection and overall system architecture.

Build quick prototypes and follow iterative development practices to deliver product features.

Design, implement, and roll out applications from the ground up.

Develop and integrate web services, including RESTful APIs.

Design and optimize databases using appropriate database design tools.

Identify, analyze, debug, and resolve application performance bottlenecks.

Work with development teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and maintainable application architecture.

Required Skills and Technical Expertise

Java and Backend Development

Minimum 10 years of programming experience with Java/J2EE.

Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.

Expert-level knowledge of Spring and Hibernate.

Experience in backend application design and development.

Cloud Technologies

Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.

Familiarity with private cloud platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, and Microsoft System Center.

DevOps and Configuration Management

Mandatory experience with Chef or another configuration management system.

Working experience with the Jenkins API.

Strong understanding of deployment and application rollout processes.

Operating Systems and Databases

Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments.

Strong knowledge of database technologies and database design.

APIs and Performance Optimization

Experience building and consuming web services.

Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs is preferred.

Ability to identify, quantify, debug, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
