Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Python Technical Lead / Architect with 15+ years of overall IT experience and strong expertise in advanced Python development, application architecture, and engineering team leadership.

The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, React integration, and distributed systems.

The selected candidate will lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable Python-based applications while managing a team of 10–15 developers.

Prior experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

1. Python Application Architecture and Development

Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Python-based applications.

Architect enterprise-level backend solutions using advanced Python programming techniques.

Apply software design patterns and architectural best practices.

Develop high-performance, secure, and maintainable applications.

Oversee application development from requirements gathering through production deployment.

Provide technical guidance on complex development challenges.

2. FastAPI and Backend Development

Design and develop backend applications using FastAPI.

Build scalable APIs and backend services.

Ensure efficient communication between application components.

Optimize backend performance, reliability, and security.

Establish coding standards and development best practices.

3. Database and Caching Technologies

Architect and implement solutions using MongoDB.

Work with Redis for caching and performance optimization.

Design efficient data access and storage mechanisms.

Optimize database performance and application response times.

Ensure data consistency, reliability, and security.

4. Containerization and Deployment

Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker.

Work with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

Support scalable application deployment and infrastructure integration.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment processes.

Ensure application stability across development and production environments.

5. Frontend and Backend Integration

Collaborate with frontend development teams working on React applications.

Design APIs and integration mechanisms between frontend and backend systems.

Ensure seamless communication between React-based interfaces and Python services.

Resolve integration challenges and optimize application performance.

6. Data Platforms and Job Scheduling

Work with Impala for high-performance data querying.

Support integration with enterprise data platforms.

Utilize Autosys for job scheduling and workflow management.

Contribute to reliable data processing and scheduled application workflows.

Support distributed system integration and troubleshooting.

7. Engineering Leadership and Team Management

Lead and manage a team of approximately 10–15 software developers.

Provide technical mentoring, coaching, and guidance.

Conduct technical design discussions and code reviews.

Assign development responsibilities and monitor project progress.

Promote engineering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Ensure consistent adherence to development and quality standards.

8. Agile Development and CI/CD

Drive Agile software development practices.

Oversee sprint planning, development execution, and technical delivery.

Support continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.

Improve development workflows and engineering productivity.

Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

9. Banking Domain and Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with stakeholders from banking operations, risk, and compliance teams.

Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Ensure application architecture aligns with banking business processes.

Address security, performance, and compliance-related requirements.

Communicate technical strategies and project progress to stakeholders.

10. Code Quality, Security, and Performance

Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices.

Conduct architecture reviews and code quality assessments.

Ensure application security and performance requirements are met.

Identify and resolve technical risks.

Drive continuous improvements in application reliability and maintainability.

Minimum 15+ years of total professional experience.

At least 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.

Strong experience in advanced Python development and design patterns over the last 5–6 years.

Expertise in developing scalable backend applications using FastAPI.

Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB and Redis.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Good understanding of React and frontend-backend integration.

Familiarity with Impala and Autosys.

Understanding of distributed systems and enterprise application architecture.

Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams of 10–15 developers.

Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies and CI/CD practices.

Excellent technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Experience maintaining application quality, security, and performance standards.

Mandatory Domain Experience

Banking / Financial Services experience is compulsory.
