📌 Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Publishing Production Executive with strong expertise in typesetting and Adobe InDesign to manage the complete publishing production lifecycle.

The selected candidate will be responsible for layout design, typesetting, proofing, quality control, revisions, and final file delivery while ensuring compliance with client specifications and production timelines.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete typesetting lifecycle from layout design → proofing → final output delivery
• Work on STM journals, academic textbooks, trade books, and eLearning content
• Create and maintain structured Adobe InDesign templates
• Apply paragraph styles, character styles, master pages, and GREP-based automation
• Format complex content including equations, tables, figures, and illustrations
• Maintain consistent styles, page architecture, and output quality
• Review and implement client/editorial revisions
• Troubleshoot technical layout and formatting issues
• Collaborate with editorial and cross-functional teams
• Ensure projects meet production schedules and delivery timelines

🛠️ Required Technical Skills

✔ Advanced Adobe InDesign skills
✔ Strong knowledge of layout automation, stylesheets, and master pages
✔ Deep understanding of typesetting standards and page architecture
✔ Experience with high-volume publishing production workflows
✔ Knowledge of GREP scripting and template standardization
✔ Proficiency in MathType or similar equation-composition tools
✔ Knowledge of EPUB and PDF/X output formats
✔ Basic familiarity with InDesign JavaScript scripting
✔ Exposure to LaTeX is desirable
✔ Knowledge of XML tagging standards such as BITS / JATS is highly desirable
