B.E./B.Tech/AMIE Mechanical – 3+ years
Diploma in Engineering – 6+ years
Experience should be in refinery/petrochemical mechanical planning & supervision
Working Hours: 12-hour shifts, Day/Night

Key Responsibilities
Review piping modification/replacement drawings and identify work locations.
Coordinate with CPCL maintenance, manufacturing, inspection teams, and contractors.
Plan job sequences and monitor activities against the critical path.
Coordinate pipeline release, blinding, hose connections, flange work, and other preparatory activities.
Be present during initial hot-work activities and maintain strict safety oversight.
Monitor piping work joint-by-joint, including:
Fit-up
Root welding
Final welding
DP testing
Radiography (RT)
Stress relieving (SR)
Hydrotesting
Track daily progress and maintain Shift Turnover Log Books.
Prepare daily status/progress reports.
Coordinate material requirements and ensure specified materials are used.
Follow up on CPCL Inspection clearances and resolve execution constraints.
Ensure work complies with refinery safety procedures, F&S guidelines, maintenance procedures, codes, and standards.
Coordinate with contractors and CPCL departments to ensure timely completion.
Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge of piping and mechanical works in petroleum refineries.
Experience with refinery/petrochemical equipment such as:
Pressure vessels
Columns
Towers
Heat exchangers/heaters
Reactors
Piping systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Knowledge of ASTM, ANSI, API and applicable engineering standards.
Experience in maintenance of hydrocarbon plants is essential.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Primavera experience is a prerequisite.
Ability to understand and follow refinery-specific rules, regulations, and guidelines.
