Qualification
B.E./B.Tech/AMIE in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience Required
Experience in Mechanical Planning and Supervision for Refineries or Petrochemical Plants.
Experience in Hydrocarbon Plant Maintenance is mandatory.
Candidates should have hands-on experience in handling refinery shutdown and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise piping maintenance, replacement, and modification activities.
Understand job requirements and execute work efficiently within scheduled timelines.
Coordinate with CPCL engineers, contractors, inspection teams, and manufacturing departments for smooth project execution.
Monitor progress of piping replacement and modification activities on a joint-wise basis.
Ensure timely completion of fit-up, welding, radiography, stress relieving, hydrotesting, and inspection activities.
Prepare daily progress reports, shift handover reports, and material requirement plans.
Coordinate material issuance and ensure proper utilization of CPCL-supplied materials.
Maintain compliance with refinery safety procedures, maintenance standards, and work practices.
Support contractors in identifying critical path activities to minimize project delays.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of ASTM, ANSI, API, and other applicable engineering codes and standards.
Experience with refinery equipment, including:
Pressure Vessels
Columns
Towers
Heat Exchangers
Heaters
Reactors
Piping Systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and piping modification documents.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Hands-on experience with Primavera project management software is mandatory.
Working Hours
12-hour shifts
Rotational Day and Night Shift
