Key Responsibilities
Assist students and faculty during laboratory practicals and experiments.
Prepare chemicals, reagents, and sterilize instruments/glassware (autoclaving).
Maintain laboratory stock registers and consumable records.
Conduct physical verification of laboratory inventory.
Maintain departmental files and records.
Assist the HoD/Lab In-charge in purchasing and procuring laboratory materials.
Supervise Laboratory MTS staff.
Support routine laboratory administration.
Prevent misuse of laboratory facilities.
Report laboratory breakages, losses, and student/staff misconduct to the HoD.
Assist in procuring departmental requirements after approval.
Manage the sale and records of journals and laboratory record books.
Calculate and report recovery amounts for laboratory breakages.
Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratories, specimens, instruments, and glassware.
Maintain professional and respectful communication with students, staff, and authorities.
