Job Summary

We are looking for a Design Engineer to support the development and manufacturing of medical devices using SolidWorks. The selected candidate will be involved throughout the product development lifecycle, including concept development, prototyping, design evaluation, testing and transfer to production.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop medical device products using SolidWorks.
Create 3D solid models, surface models and assemblies.
Perform flow analysis and simulation as required.
Participate in all phases of new product development.
Support prototyping, design evaluation and product testing activities.
Prepare test reports and technical documentation to support design selection.
Develop detailed engineering drawings and component specifications.
Support transfer of designs to production.
Organize and manage assigned engineering projects and tasks.
Prepare and maintain Design History Files (DHF) and related documentation.
Support the development and maintenance of Design Master Records (DMR).
Evaluate and introduce new equipment, materials and technologies.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand and resolve design requirements.
Contribute to innovation activities, including technical disclosures and patent filings.
Ensure designs comply with applicable medical device quality and regulatory requirements.
Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
Knowledge of:
Solid Modelling
Surface Modelling
Assembly Modelling
Flow Analysis
Simulation
Understanding of DMR / DHF documentation.
Knowledge of medical device development processes.
Understanding of medical device classification and regulatory requirements.
Good knowledge of engineering drawings and component specifications.
Education
B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering, or
B.E./B.Tech – Biomedical Engineering
Experience
Freshers can apply.
Candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are also eligible.
