Job Summary
We are hiring experienced Machine Shop Operators for CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) Machines in a leading Oil & Gas manufacturing company based in Sriperumbudur, Chennai. This opportunity is ideal for skilled machining professionals with hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor CNC VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) Machines.
Set up machines and perform machining operations according to production requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.
Conduct in-process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.
Adjust machine settings to maintain precision and required tolerances.
Perform routine machine checks and support preventive maintenance activities.
Follow quality standards, safety procedures, and production schedules.
Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet manufacturing targets.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification:
ITI Machinist
Diploma
BE/B.Tech
Experience:
ITI Machinist: 8–13 years of experience (Oil & Gas industry only)
Diploma: 7–12 years of experience (Oil & Gas industry only)
Experience operating CNC VTL machines is mandatory.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience with CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines.
Strong knowledge of machining processes and precision manufacturing.
Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
Familiarity with quality control procedures and industrial safety standards.
Good troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills.
