Java Front End Developer

Location: Chennai
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Analyze and remediate application security vulnerabilities such as:
Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
Outdated third-party libraries
Define technical remediation strategies for identified security issues.
Lead application onboarding, including:
Environment setup
Documentation
Local development configuration
Support developers in resolving complex code-level and technical issues.
Ensure compliance with secure coding standards and organizational best practices.
Maintain and enhance legacy Java applications built with:
JSP
Traditional Java frameworks
Review and approve pull requests to ensure consistent implementation of fixes.
Upgrade vulnerable third-party dependencies such as:
Apache Commons FileUpload
Spring Framework
Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership.
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and application owners.
Communicate project status, technical decisions, and blockers to stakeholders.
Required Skills
Strong Java web application development experience.
Hands-on experience with:
JSP
Legacy Java applications
Traditional Java frameworks
Experience upgrading and managing third-party Java dependencies.
Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security remediation.
Strong understanding of:
Git
Branching strategies
Pull Requests
Code Reviews
Experience with Eclipse IDE or similar Java development environments.
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities.
