Job Summary

Oracle is looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong Java expertise to join its software development team.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of overall software development experience, including at least 3 years of Python development, 3 years of Java development, and 2 years of MySQL experience.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable data-intensive applications, Python scripts, and Java-based RESTful APIs.

This role involves working on complex data-driven projects, optimizing data processing and retrieval performance, troubleshooting application issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Python Application Development

Design, develop, and deploy scalable Python-based applications.

Build Python scripts for data processing and analysis.

Develop efficient solutions for complex data-driven requirements.

Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and optimized Python code.

Ensure application reliability, performance, and scalability.

2. Java Development and REST API Integration

Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java.

Build backend services for data integration and application communication.

Integrate Python-based applications with Java services.

Ensure API reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.

Troubleshoot API integration and application issues.

3. Database Development and Query Optimization

Work with MySQL databases for application data management.

Develop and optimize database queries.

Design efficient data retrieval and querying mechanisms.

Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.

Improve data access efficiency and application response times.

4. Data Processing and Application Performance

Develop applications for processing and analyzing large or complex datasets.

Optimize application logic and data retrieval operations.

Troubleshoot data processing and query performance issues.

Implement improvements to enhance application scalability and efficiency.

5. Software Testing and Debugging

Identify, investigate, and resolve application defects.

Debug Python and Java application issues.

Participate in code reviews to maintain software quality.

Follow software development standards and best practices.

Contribute to continuous improvement in development processes.

6. Cross-Functional Team Collaboration

Collaborate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders.

Understand and prioritize project requirements.

Participate in technical discussions and solution design.

Contribute to collaborative problem-solving activities.

Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively.

7. AI and Machine Learning Integration – Preferred

Contribute to AI/ML-related development initiatives where applicable.
