Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ITI Fitter to join a leading Oil & Gas company in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the oil and gas industry. Candidates with Gulf experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Perform installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used in oil and gas operations.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical blueprints.
Assemble and align pumps, valves, compressors, pipelines, and other mechanical equipment.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Diagnose mechanical faults and perform effective troubleshooting.
Inspect equipment and components to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Replace defective mechanical parts and ensure proper alignment and calibration.
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively.
Follow company maintenance procedures and standard operating practices.
Maintain maintenance records and prepare service reports.
Adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company safety policies.
Coordinate with engineers and maintenance teams during shutdowns and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
ITI (Mechanical/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
7–12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Gulf experience is an added advantage.
Experience in refinery, petrochemical, pipeline, or process plant maintenance is preferred.
