Software Engineer / Analyst

Job Summary

WBC Software Lab is looking for a Software Engineer / Analyst to join its development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and understanding client requirements, designing prototypes, applying design templates, and developing mobile applications using native platforms and hybrid technologies such as jQuery Mobile and PhoneGap. The candidate should be capable of delivering high-quality projects within scope and timelines while working collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & Design
Gather and understand client business requirements.
Design application prototypes and user interfaces.
Apply design templates and development best practices.
Participate in project planning and requirement discussions.
Mobile Application Development
Develop Android applications using Android SDK.
Develop iOS applications using Xcode and Objective-C.
Build cross-platform mobile applications using PhoneGap APIs and jQuery Mobile.
Consume and integrate web services into mobile applications.
Publish mobile applications to app marketplaces.
Development & Quality Assurance
Develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient code.
Perform application testing using physical devices and simulators.
Conduct unit testing and quality assurance activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
Documentation & Collaboration
Prepare technical documentation and project reports.
Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Communicate project status and technical details effectively.

Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
1–2 years of experience in designing and developing websites and mobile applications.
Strong understanding of mobile application development concepts and technologies.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience consuming and integrating web services.
Experience publishing applications on mobile app stores.
Knowledge of hybrid mobile development frameworks.
