JOB DESCRIPTION – CAD / DESIGN ENGINEER

Position: CAD / Design Engineer
Location: Chennai – SIDCO Industrial Estate, Thirumullaivoyal, Kattur Village, Ambattur
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Mode: Work from Office / In-person
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹22,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for a CAD / Design Engineer with strong experience in AutoCAD, 2D drawing and fabrication/sheet metal processes. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate engineering drawings and supporting fabrication-related design activities.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and modify 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
Create accurate fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
Work closely with fabrication and production teams to ensure drawings meet manufacturing requirements.
Prepare drawings for sheet metal and fabricated components.
Understand fabrication processes and incorporate manufacturing requirements into drawings.
Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions and specifications.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve design and drawing-related issues.
Maintain and update engineering drawings as per project requirements.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience in AutoCAD.
Excellent knowledge of 2D drawing.
Practical experience with fabrication processes.
Good understanding of sheet metal processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively with production and fabrication teams.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹22,000 per month
