Job Summary

We are looking for a Design Engineer – Transmission Line with 3–5 years of experience in transmission line design and engineering. The candidate should have hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD, transmission line routing, tower design, foundation design and relevant electrical/structural engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review transmission line design drawings using AutoCAD and related engineering software.
Perform structural and electrical calculations for:
Transmission towers
Conductors
Line components
Assist with route alignment and analyze survey data.
Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and support estimation activities.
Coordinate with project, civil and electrical engineering teams to ensure design accuracy.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable IS, IEC and IEEE standards.
Participate in technical discussions and provide design support during project execution.
Maintain accurate engineering documentation and ensure proper revision control for design deliverables.
Support project teams in resolving design-related technical issues.
Required Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Knowledge of transmission line design software such as PLS-CADD is preferred.
Understanding of:
Transmission tower design
Foundation design
Transmission line routing
Conductors and line components
Basic knowledge of electrical and structural design principles.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a project-based, multidisciplinary environment.
Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience in transmission line design/engineering.
Experience with AutoCAD and transmission line engineering projects is preferred.
