Job Summary
The Civil Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and managing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are executed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role requires effective coordination with contractors, architects, project managers, and site teams to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision
Supervise daily construction activities at the project site.
Ensure work is carried out according to approved plans, drawings, and specifications.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site labor.
Quality Control
Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
Ensure construction work complies with quality standards.
Identify construction defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Verify compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
Resource Management
Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment.
Monitor material consumption and resource utilization.
Coordinate procurement to ensure timely availability of construction materials.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with architects, structural consultants, designers, and project managers.
Facilitate smooth communication between site and office teams.
Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve project-related issues.
Safety Management
Enforce site safety policies and procedures.
Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Technical Support
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Resolve technical issues arising during construction.
Recommend design modifications when necessary to improve project execution.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily site reports, work logs, and progress records.
Record construction milestones and material usage.
Prepare reports for senior management and project stakeholders.
Maintain proper project documentation.
Budget & Cost Control
Assist in project cost estimation.
Monitor project expenses and budget utilization.
Support cost control initiatives to optimize project expenditure.
Survey & Setting Out
Conduct site surveys and layout activities.
Perform accurate measurements for structures and utilities.
Ensure proper alignment and setting out before execution.
