Junior Quality Engineer – Manufacturing

We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for freshers or early-career professionals with knowledge of automotive quality standards and inspection tools.

Role Overview:

Support quality processes including APQP, PPAP, and 8D problem-solving, while ensuring product quality through inspections and metrology practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Documentation

Support APQP activities and maintain documentation
Assist in PPAP preparation and submission

Inspection & Testing

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
Handle metrology instruments such as:
Vernier calipers
Micrometers
Height gauges
Dial indicators
Bore gauges
Go/No-Go gauges
Profile projector / CMM (basic level)

Quality Improvement

Participate in 8D problem-solving
Identify and report non-conformances
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions

Compliance & Coordination

Assist in internal and customer audits
Maintain quality records and reports
Coordinate with production and engineering teams
Required Qualifications:
🎓 Diploma / B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and 8D methodology
Basic understanding of engineering drawings & GD&T
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
Basic knowledge of SPC & MSA
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Willingness to work on the shop floor

Eligible candidates should be from Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering backgrounds
Computer Science candidates are NOT suitable for this role
