Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Python Application Developer to work on a cable modem provisioning platform development and maintenance project.

The ideal candidate should have strong Python development skills and practical knowledge of CI/CD technologies, including GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Additional knowledge of Java, Microservices, AWS, and cable modem provisioning will be an advantage.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Python-based applications while supporting deployment and integration activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Python Application Development

Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications.

Write clean, reusable, efficient, and maintainable Python code.

Develop application features according to project requirements.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.

Support application performance optimization and reliability.

2. Cable Modem Provisioning Platform

Participate in the development and maintenance of a cable modem provisioning platform.

Understand application requirements related to cable modem provisioning.

Support enhancements and issue resolution for provisioning applications.

Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth platform operations.

3. CI/CD and DevOps

Work with GitLab for source code management and CI/CD processes.

Use Docker for application containerization.

Work with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.

Support automated application build, testing, and deployment workflows.

Troubleshoot deployment and integration issues.

4. Cloud and Microservices

Support applications operating in AWS environments.

Work with microservices-based application components.

Assist with integration between Python and Java-based services.

Contribute to scalable application architecture and deployment practices.

5. Application Maintenance and Support

Monitor and maintain existing application functionality.

Identify and resolve technical issues.

Support application enhancements and maintenance activities.

Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams.

Maintain technical documentation as required.

Candidate Requirements

Strong hands-on knowledge of Python application development.

Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with Java and Microservices will be an advantage.

Exposure to AWS environments is preferred.

Basic understanding of the cable telecommunications domain and cable modem provisioning is desirable.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to work onsite at an Infosys office.

Availability to work the 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST shift.

Willingness to work in a contract position.
