Key Responsibilities

Design and enhance highly scalable AWS hosting architecture while considering cost optimization.
Ensure 24×7 service availability, monitoring, and infrastructure support.
Handle critical production issues, including night/weekend support when required.
Manage tasks and deliverables of AWS team members.
Review and improve backup strategies.
Plan and implement disaster recovery strategies.
Coordinate with US-based teams on infrastructure enhancement strategies.
Support scalable, business-critical SaaS/mobile solutions hosted on AWS.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with AWS EC2 and RDS.
MySQL on EC2.
AWS Auto Scaling and highly scalable infrastructure design.
S3, ElastiCache, Route 53, CloudFront and VPC.
SES and IAM roles.
Linux/Ubuntu administration.
Strong shell scripting and networking.
Infrastructure monitoring tools/services.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of alternatives to AWS such as Rackspace is advantageous.
