Job Summary

Cortex is looking for a skilled Optical Design Engineer to contribute to the design, simulation and optimization of advanced optical systems for next-generation products.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Ansys Speos or similar optical simulation tools, along with in-depth knowledge of lens design, optical tolerancing and optical system integration.

Key Responsibilities
Design and simulate advanced optical systems for next-generation products.
Utilize Ansys Speos or equivalent optical simulation tools for optical modeling and analysis.
Develop, optimize and evaluate optical system performance.
Apply strong knowledge of lens design and optical engineering principles.
Perform optical tolerancing and assess the impact of design variations.
Support optical system integration across multidisciplinary engineering functions.
Collaborate closely with design, hardware and testing teams.
Analyze simulation and test results and recommend appropriate design improvements.
Troubleshoot complex optical and system-level engineering challenges.
Ensure designs meet required performance, quality and reliability standards.
Contribute to technical documentation and design reviews.
Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across optical engineering projects.
Required Skills & Expertise
5–8 years of relevant experience in Optical Design Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Ansys Speos or similar optical simulation software.
Strong knowledge of:
Lens Design
Optical Tolerancing
Optical Simulation
Optical System Integration
Optical Performance Analysis
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
Ability to interpret and analyze simulation and testing results.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in advanced optical system design and simulation.
Ability to independently handle optical engineering tasks and deliverables.
Strong teamwork and stakeholder management capabilities.

Notice Period
