Job Description (JD): CNC/VMC Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: CNC/VMC Maintenance Engineer
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC/VMC Maintenance Engineer to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC and Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Fanuc CNC controllers, servo systems, electrical maintenance, and machine commissioning. The role also involves customer support, preventive maintenance, AMC management, and technical training.

Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC and VMC machines.
Prepare and interpret electrical circuit diagrams for CNC and SPM machines.
Install, commission, and test CNC machines and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
Diagnose and rectify faults in Fanuc CNC controllers and servo systems.
Edit and troubleshoot Fanuc Ladder Logic programs.
Handle electrical breakdowns and perform root cause analysis.
Troubleshoot machines equipped with Fanuc servo systems.
Install and maintain horizontal and vertical machining centers (VMC/HMC), including Japanese machines.
Diagnose and resolve hydro-pneumatic and electromechanical system issues.
Conduct preventive maintenance to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime.
Provide customer training after machine installation and commissioning.
Manage Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) customers and ensure timely service.
Generate spare parts quotations based on customer requirements.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective technical support.
Prepare maintenance reports and maintain service documentation.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Relevant technical certifications in CNC/Fanuc systems are an added advantage.
Experience
Experience in CNC/VMC machine maintenance and servicing.
Hands-on experience with Fanuc CNC controllers and servo systems is preferred.
