Cable & Wire Harness Manufacturing Engineer

Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹17,000 per month

Job Summary

The Cable & Wire Harness Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for planning, supervising, and improving the manufacturing and assembly of cable and wire harnesses while ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage cable and wire harness manufacturing processes.
Prepare and review:
Technical drawings
Wiring diagrams
Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Assembly instructions
Select suitable cables, connectors, terminals, sleeves, and other components.
Ensure proper crimping, soldering, and assembly processes.
Set up workstations, tools, fixtures, and optimize production lines.
Perform in-process inspections and final quality checks.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements and IPC/UL standards.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and quality assurance teams.
Train and guide technicians and operators on assembly methods and quality standards.
Qualifications
Diploma or B.E. in:
Electrical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Experience
1–3 years of experience in cable or wire harness manufacturing or a related industry.
Required Skills
Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 wire harness standards (preferred).
Experience with:
Crimping tools
Soldering techniques
Continuity testing
Insulation resistance testing
Ability to read and interpret:
Wiring schematics
Layout drawings
Customer specifications
Good technical and problem-solving skills.
