Eligibility
B.E./B.Tech/AMIE (Mechanical): Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience in refinery or petrochemical maintenance, shutdowns, and hydrocarbon plants is mandatory.
Candidates should have participated in at least one Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) or Revamp Shutdown in a refinery or petrochemical plant.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise maintenance activities for refinery static equipment.
Plan and execute shutdown activities within scheduled timelines.
Coordinate with contractors, planning teams, inspection teams, and manufacturing departments.
Monitor execution of jobs according to refinery standards and safety procedures.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, work lists, and equipment documentation.
Prepare daily progress reports and maintain shift handover records.
Ensure proper material planning and coordination with CPCL planning engineers.
Monitor safety compliance and report violations immediately.
Update equipment monitoring charts and shutdown progress records.
Technical Requirements
Experience with refinery static equipment such as:
Furnaces
Columns
Pressure Vessels
Heat Exchangers
Reactors
Heaters
Knowledge of engineering standards including:
ASTM
ANSI
API
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
Working knowledge of:
MS Office
Primavera Project Management Software
Understanding of refinery maintenance procedures and CPCL safety guidelines.
Preferred Skills
Mechanical planning and shutdown supervision.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Knowledge of hydrocarbon plant maintenance.
Safety-focused approach to refinery operations.
