Job Summary

Crunch Media Works is looking for an experienced Senior Video Algorithm Engineer to develop advanced video compression algorithms and software solutions for cloud and mobile platforms. The role focuses on building high-performance video processing solutions, optimizing video quality and delivery costs, and developing SDKs using modern video codecs.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in video compression, streaming technologies, C/C++ development, media frameworks, and cloud-based video processing.

Key Responsibilities
Video Compression Development
Develop video compression SDKs for mobile devices.
Design and implement advanced video compression algorithms.
Optimize video quality, compression efficiency, and bandwidth utilization.
Improve existing video processing products and software components.
Video Processing
Develop and optimize:
Video Transcoding
Video Packaging
Video Processing Pipelines
Tune applications for:
Low latency
High performance
Reduced cloud processing costs
Codec Development

Work extensively with modern video codecs including:

H.264 (AVC)
H.265 (HEVC)
AV1
VVC
VP9 (Preferred)
Streaming Technologies

Develop solutions supporting:

HTTP Streaming
RTP
RTSP
WebRTC
HLS
MPEG-DASH
Media Framework Development

Develop and integrate applications using:

Android MediaCodec Framework
iOS VideoToolbox
FFmpeg
GStreamer 1.x
Research & Optimization
Analyze professional and user-generated video content.
Develop new algorithms based on latest research.
Improve compression efficiency using Machine Learning techniques.
Implement advanced filtering and enhancement algorithms.
Software Development
Develop high-performance applications using:

Maintain and extend customer deployments.
Collaboration

Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree (MS) or equivalent in:

Engineering
8+ years of experience in video compression and media software development.
