Job Summary

A well-established multispecialty hospital in Erode is seeking a qualified Consultant Emergency Physician to provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a tertiary care setting. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing medical emergencies, trauma cases, and critical care procedures while working collaboratively with the emergency department team.

Key Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with medical and surgical emergencies.
Provide immediate life-saving treatment in emergency and trauma situations.
Perform advanced emergency procedures, including:
Endotracheal intubation
Central venous catheterization
Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma (FAST)
Stabilize critically ill and injured patients before admission or transfer.
Coordinate with specialists and hospital departments for comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records.
Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and emergency care standards.
Participate in emergency on-call duties as scheduled.
Qualifications
Education:
MBBS
MEM (Master of Emergency Medicine) or
MD in Emergency Medicine
Valid medical registration as per applicable regulations.
Experience
1–5 years of experience in Emergency Medicine.
Required Skills
Expertise in managing all types of medical emergencies in a tertiary care hospital.
Advanced airway management and intubation.
Central venous catheterization.
FAST (Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma).
Trauma management and resuscitation.
Critical care decision-making.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Male or Female candidates.
Tamil-speaking candidates are preferred.
Working Schedule
Duty Hours: 8-hour shifts.
Emergency on-call responsibilities as per hospital schedule.
Type of Duty: Casualty / Emergency Department.
