Qualification
B.E./B.Tech/AMIE in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience in refinery, petrochemical, or hydrocarbon plant maintenance is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and supervise piping maintenance, replacement, and modification activities.
Study and interpret piping modification and replacement drawings.
Coordinate with CPCL engineers, contractors, inspection teams, and manufacturing departments for timely execution.
Ensure safe execution of hot work, welding, hydrotesting, radiography, stress relieving, and related activities.
Monitor job progress on a joint-wise basis and maintain shift handover records.
Prepare daily progress reports and material requirement plans.
Coordinate material issuance and utilization for maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with refinery safety procedures and maintenance standards.
Work closely with contractors to complete critical-path activities within schedule.
Required Skills
Knowledge of ASTM, ANSI, API, and other relevant engineering codes and standards.
Experience with refinery equipment such as:
Pressure Vessels
Columns
Towers
Heat Exchangers
Heaters
Reactors
Piping Systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Hands-on experience with Primavera project management software.
Strong planning, coordination, reporting, and communication skills.
Working Hours
12-hour shifts
Day and Night Shift rotation
Preferred Experience
Mechanical planning and supervision in Refineries or Petrochemical Plants.
Maintenance of hydrocarbon processing facilities.
Experience coordinating with inspection, manufacturing, and maintenance departments.
Strong commitment to refinery safety practices and procedures.
