Job Overview

Medical Coders are responsible for converting medical diagnoses, procedures, treatments, and healthcare services into standardized alphanumeric codes used for insurance claims, billing, reimbursement, and healthcare analytics.

Key Responsibilities
Review medical records and clinical documentation.
Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes using:
CPT-4
ICD-10-CM
ICD-10-PCS
Ensure coding compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Follow UHDDS (Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set) guidelines.
Stay updated with AHA Coding Clinic updates and coding regulations.
Maintain coding accuracy and documentation quality.
Support billing and reimbursement processes through accurate coding.
