About the Role

Planview is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and automated solutions on AWS.

This role requires deep expertise in AWS, Terraform, Git/GitHub, Jenkins, PowerShell, AWS Systems Manager (SSM), and Active Directory administration, along with a strong passion for automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Automation
Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Ensure infrastructure follows security, reliability, and cost-optimization best practices.
CI/CD & DevOps Practices
Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
Manage source code repositories and Git workflows.
Improve software delivery and release management processes.
Scripting & System Administration
Automate operational tasks using PowerShell and other scripting languages.
Create, maintain, and execute AWS Systems Manager (SSM) Documents for automation, patching, configuration management, and troubleshooting.
Administer Active Directory environments, including user/group management, authentication, permissions, and AWS integrations.
Monitoring & Support
Monitor cloud infrastructure and production environments.
Troubleshoot performance, availability, and operational issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and reliability.
Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices.
Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including:
EC2
VPC
IAM
S3
RDS
Lambda
Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
Strong knowledge of Git workflows and source control best practices.
Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
Experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM), including custom SSM Document creation and management.
Active Directory administration experience, including authentication, group policies, permissions, and AWS integration.
Solid understanding of networking, cloud security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as:
CloudWatch
New Relic
Sumo Logic
Knowledge of configuration management tools:
Ansible
Chef
Puppet
AWS Certifications such as:
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
