Job Summary
The Project Engineer – Civil will be responsible for overseeing construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance projects across institutional facilities. The role involves project planning, budgeting, site supervision, stakeholder coordination, safety compliance, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance projects.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines and budgets.
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when required.
Design & Planning
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Prepare and validate project cost estimates.
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Support project planning and design review activities.
Construction Supervision
Supervise on-site construction and renovation activities.
Ensure work is executed according to approved plans and specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance.
Resolve construction-related issues and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
Maintenance & Repair Management
Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for campus facilities.
Coordinate repair and maintenance activities.
Ensure institutional infrastructure remains operational, safe, and well-maintained.
Monitor facility conditions and recommend improvements when necessary.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
Conduct safety inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
Implement and enforce site safety protocols.
Promote a safe working environment across all project sites.
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with academic staff, administration, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
Provide regular project status updates and progress reports.
Address stakeholder concerns and project-related requests promptly.
Present project updates and reports to senior management.
Documentation & Scheduling
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely task completion.
Maintain accurate project records, including:
Daily Logs
Progress Reports
Change Orders
Inspection Reports
Project Documentation
Ensure proper filing and accessibility of project records.
