Role Overview

Episode Six is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join its growing fintech team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will work on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, CI/CD systems, automation, and large-scale platform operations supporting mission-critical payment infrastructure.

This role involves maintaining scalable systems, automating engineering operations, and supporting both hosted and on-premise client environments.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Platform Management
Build, configure, and maintain:
Kubernetes clusters
Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code environments
Jenkins build servers
Linux and Windows servers
Cloud infrastructure including:
RDS
Load Balancers
Networking
Storage
Support multiple PaaS instances of the proprietary E6 platform.
Automation & DevOps
Automate system engineering activities using:
Python
Bash scripting
AWS APIs (boto3)
Kubernetes APIs
Manage and improve Infrastructure-as-Code implementations.
Deployment & Release Management
Release software to hosted and on-premise clients.
Support deployment automation and operational reliability.
Documentation & Collaboration
Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in on-call rotation schedules.
Occasionally travel for client engagements or company events.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience with:
Python scripting
Bash scripting
Terraform or similar IaC tools
Strong experience developing RESTful APIs using Python.
Hands-on expertise with:
AWS APIs (boto3)
Kubernetes APIs
Infrastructure automation
5+ years of experience with:
Configuration Management
Infrastructure-as-Code
Public Cloud Services (AWS preferred)
AWS certification preferred.
Strong Linux administration experience supporting Java applications.
Proven infrastructure troubleshooting capabilities.
4+ years of Kubernetes and containerization experience.
