Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical & Electronics Engineer specializing in PCB Design to join a leading industrial AI startup in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, prototyping, and validating analog and digital hardware solutions for advanced AI-based industrial products.

This role requires strong expertise in PCB design, analog and digital electronics, EMI/EMC compliance, and hardware reliability analysis.

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Design & Development
Design, simulate, and prototype analog and digital circuits for industrial products
Develop hardware schematics and Bills of Materials (BOM) using EDA tools
Optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
Stay updated with emerging electronic components and technologies
PCB Design & Layout Review
Review and validate PCB layouts for:
Thermal management
Signal integrity
EMI/EMC compliance
Ensure designs meet industrial and customer standards
Testing, Validation & Debugging
Perform hardware functional testing and validation activities
Troubleshoot issues related to:
EMI/EMC
Thermal performance
Electrical reliability
Document testing procedures and compliance results
Reliability & Functional Safety
Conduct worst-case analysis to ensure robust hardware performance across varying operating conditions
Collaborate with functional safety teams on FMEDA activities
Support compliance with industry safety and reliability standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with firmware, mechanical, and system engineering teams
Support integrated hardware solution development and product deployment
Engage with clients and stakeholders when required
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design
Strong expertise in:
Analog Electronics
Digital Electronics
PCB Design
Practical experience with:
DC/DC Converters
Operational Amplifiers (Op-Amps)
Critical Analog Circuits
Strong understanding of:
EMI/EMC principles
Hardware reliability engineering
Worst-case analysis methodologies
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities
Good communication and teamwork skills
Proactive attitude and ability to work in collaborative environments
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
Electronics Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Instrumentation Engineering
Related Engineering Field
Experience in automotive or industrial sectors
Familiarity with functional safety standards and FMEDA processes
Proficiency in PCB design tools such as:
Altium Designer
OrCAD
