Job Summary
NTT DATA is hiring a Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) responsible for providing first-line network and infrastructure support in a managed services environment. The role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network incidents while ensuring high system availability and service quality for global clients.
This is an entry-level role ideal for candidates with foundational networking knowledge and strong ITSM process understanding.
Key Responsibilities
Network Monitoring & Support
Monitor client network infrastructure and systems proactively.
Identify, investigate, and resolve first-line technical incidents.
Ensure minimal downtime by addressing issues promptly.
Incident & Request Management
Handle ITSM tickets and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Provide support via phone, chat, and ITSM tools.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching and configuration updates.
Ensure proper shift handover for continuous service operations.
Optimization & Improvement
Identify recurring issues and suggest automation opportunities.
Contribute to process improvement and knowledge documentation.
Support disaster recovery activities and testing when required.

Routing Protocols
BGP (Border Gateway Protocol)
OSPF (Open Shortest Path First)
EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol)
Required Competencies
Strong ITSM tool and process knowledge.
Ability to follow SOPs and resolve tickets efficiently.
Strong discipline in incident handling and documentation.
Good communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
Strong active listening and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
Adaptability to dynamic work environments.
Strong work ethic and willingness to work extended hours if needed.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
OR
Equivalent practical experience in IT/network support roles.
