Role Overview

We are urgently hiring experienced accounting professionals for a position based in Tanzania. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling financial planning, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and cost control activities while ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, hands-on accounting expertise, and the ability to work independently in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing.
Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and local accounting standards.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and government agencies.
Support internal and external audit requirements.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Handle bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities.
Maintain treasury controls and ensure financial stability.
Costing & Budgeting
Manage inventory costing, fixed asset management, and depreciation schedules.
Prepare budget forecasts, variance analysis, and cost control reports.
Generate MIS reports and financial dashboards for management review.
Systems & Process Improvement
Implement accounting best practices and internal controls.
Support ERP/accounting software implementation and process enhancements.
Candidate Requirements
Educational Qualifications
CA Inter / CMA / ICWA / ICWA Inter
Experience
5–6 years of experience in:
Manufacturing
Construction
Trading industries
Prior work experience in the African region is preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of:
Accounting principles
Management accounting
Financial reporting
Proficiency in:
MS Excel
Tally ERP or similar accounting software
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
High integrity and professional ethics
